Juvenile diabetes also known as type 1 diabetes, is a group of symptoms consisting of a disturbed metabolism and high blood sugar levels resulting from improper insulin secretion.

It is primarily an auto immune disorder whereby the body attacks cells producing insulin (in the pancreas). Children and those in their early youth are at an increased risk of suffering from this condition.

What are the Juvenile Diabetes Symptoms?

As glucose is not able to properly reach the cells, the level of glucose in the blood rises. The kidneys overwork and try to filter the extra amount of sugar. This results in one of the main juvenile diabetes signs, excess urine production.

As the body undergoes increased urination, thirst becomes more frequent. Parents sometimes think their child urinates more because of increased fluids intake, but in reality they drink more because they urinate more. This is the very reason for experiencing a significant increase in urination.

Moreover, the main and the most unmistakable among all the signs of juvenile diabetes is a very noticeable increase in urination. Children with this condition are often found with bed wetting problems.
