Introduction

Obesity is when you have excess fat in your body. Obesity occurs when you consume more calories andDiet for weight loss controls amount of calories do not perform enough activity to burn these extra calories.

Obesity is defined as body mass index greater than thirty. Obesity is viewed as a long term disease which can affect your day to day life.

Obesity can result in serious and potentially life threatening health problems. It is associated with an increased risk of disability, illness and death.

Bad lifestyle choices, age, genetics, environmental factors and lack of physical activities are some of the causes of obesity.

Excessive weight gain is the biggest obesity symptom. Your extra weight can be lost through treatments which include maintaining a strict diet for weight loss.

In addition, weight loss can also be attained by increasing your daily physical activities and by performing a daily regimen of obesity exercise.

The earlier in life you consider obesity preventions, the better. You give yourself a good opportunity of enjoying a fit and healthy body, free of extra fat and weight.

Causes of Obesity

Genetics:

You are more like to be obese if one or both of your parents have obesity. In addition, your hormones which are involved in regulation of fat are also affected by your genes.

Physical Activity:

If you have low physical activity then you burn lesser calories. These extra amounts of unburned calories accumulate in your body in the form of fat that leads to obesity.

Over Eating:

If you have a habit of overeating, you gain weight over time. Especially if you eat foods high in fat and sugar that contain excess calories.  A diet for weight loss helps keep the amount of calories you consume in check.

Diseases:

People who suffer from diseases including insulin resistance or Cushing’s syndrome are more prone to obesity.

Medications:

Certain medications promote weight gain such as antidepressants, diabetes medications, oral contraceptives and high blood pressure medicines.

Besides these causes of obesity, there are other factors responsible for weight gain. These include a slow metabolism rate in women that makes them more prone to put on comparatively more weight, a greater frequency of eating and a diet high in carbohydrates.

Obesity Preventions

Your obesity can be prevented in many ways. A healthy diet, daily exercise and monitoring your weight are the simple steps you need to take to maintain your body and keep it in good shape.

Here are some helpful obesity preventions:

Regular Exercise:

This is one of the most important steps to reduce your weight and prevent future weight gain. Research has proved that moderate activities prevent weight gain. You can include long brisk walks and swimming in your exercise regime along with other obesity exercise.

A Healthy Diet:

Eat foods that are low in calorie content and high in nutrition including fruits, vegetables and whole grain. Avoid fatty foods, excess sweets, smoking and alcohol.

Monitor Your Weight:

Studies have revealed that people who measure their weight on a regular basis are more weight conscious. Measuring weight regularly helps detect minor changes in your weight and avoid future weight related problems.

Avoid Inactivity:

This includes watching television for long hours - especially after meals, taking the elevator instead of climbing stairs, getting up late in the morning and sleeping too much and with general laziness. A sedentary lifestyle should be changed by performing moderate physical activities on a daily basis.

Obesity Exercise

Exercise is an important part for weight control. Exercise helps burn your extra calories even when you don’t exercise.

Besides exercises help reduce stress, improves your self esteem and puts you in a good mood most of the time. You can consider these as obesity preventions that help you in attaining significant weight loss.

Experts believe that thirty to sixty minutes of physical activity per day gives you a good chance of losing weight and keep it down.

The best obesity exercise for obese people is walking. You can walk a certain distance daily. This will help you control weight. Walking is also the best way to warm up before an exercise.

Scientists have found that simple activities like climbing stairs, helping with simple home chores and even fidgeting aid in controlling your weight.
