What are Kidney Stones?

Kidney stones are small or big solid crystal structures that get deposited in kidney. These kidney stones are made up of toxins, acids, waste materials and foreign matters. Kidney stones are of different types based on their crystal structures they form.

These stones gradually enter the urinary tract causing severe pain, small stones easily go out via urine but large crystals get stuck in the urinary tract and causes pain with bleeding.

Small accumulations cause no kidney stone symptoms but problem lies with the big crystals that enter the ureter. The patient may have chronic pain in the back on one or both the sides depending on the severity.

Many times patient feels like urinating every now and then, now this frequent urination condition maybe misdiagnosed as urinary incontinence making the condition more miserable. Burning sense while passing urine, sickness and pain in the abdomen as well as genital organs are some of the common symptoms.
