Back Curve

What is Back Curve?

Back curve is the human spineBack curve are stubborn and seldom goes-easily or backbone that has a natural curve and is central to body activity. It has 33 bones called vertebrates. The spine undergoes all types of pressures day in and out.

When an excess amount of pressure is exerted on the spine time and again, the working ability and shape of these bones are affected. This can develop into a back problem. Thus it is very important to maintain a proper back posture during activity or even when we sleep, stand, or simply sit.

Back curve treatment of should be given priority as the condition can lead to more serious back problems if taken lightly or left untreated for long.

Some individuals have an abnormal back curvature since birth while others have it due to reasons like stress at work or even accidents. Back ache is prevalent in people of all age groups.

Causes of Back Curve

A person generally has problems in primarily two of these areas of the spine; the upper part of the spine and the lower back part of the spine. If the curvature increases beyond normal extent in either of the two areas, symptoms of back curve occur.

One of the causes of back curve is postural imbalance of the spine. A person who is in a habit of; stooping, standing, or sitting for longer periods is a prime candidate for backaches.

To avoid back aches one should avoid these habits. Maintaining a normal back posture goes a long way in prevention as well as treatment for back curve.

Obesity is among the major causes for back curve problems. Back pain rates as the number one health problem at work places.

Symptoms of Back Curve

When the spine is curved to either side, the condition is called scoliosis. Such a person has an abnormal back curve. A person afflicted with back curve symptoms can be seen with an unusual walking style.

Problems in the back curves can cause muscles to ache and put strain on them. This problem arises due to imbalance in posture of the spine. This leads to muscle imbalance, resulting in tightness of muscles and restricting movements.

Other muscles at the same time get stretched and weaken as a result. Treating these dysfunctional muscles only gives temporary relief, but fixing the problem requires physiotherapy and in some cases, surgery is the only option.

A person with any symptoms of back curve problems should seek advice from a physiotherapist. Maintaining a correct back posture can be of great help in this condition.

Treatment of an abnormal back curve is advised at the onset. A back curve problem has no identifiable cause. It is more prevalent in women than in men and is also known to be a genetically related condition.

Treatment for Back Curve

Medications, alternative medicines, acupressure, naturopathy, massage, light exercises, changes in lifestyle, and dieting are various forms of treatment for back curve ailments.

Like in any disease, a quick diagnosis followed by proper treatment can play an important part in giving relief, alleviating, and preventing back pain. Ailments related to the back curve are often stubborn and seldom go away easily.

There are various treatment options but they only provide short to long term relief. None of them guarantee a complete cure. Patients can also seek help of a physiotherapist along with medications to effectively deal with back ache problems.
