Lifestyle factors like diet and exercise also have a positive impact on the mental well-being, says Paul Farmer, chief executive of the mental health charity, Mind. He states further that exercise gives one a natural high and is a good thing to boost one’s mood. Benefit to mental health is also rendered through physical activity together with social interaction.
Participating in running activity with a club, activity in team sport, or working for communal allotment is far better for your mental well-being than a physically demanding job.
The mental health charity Mind also found in its study the importance of short walks in the country gaining high self-esteem, Mr. Farmer said.
